Luxembourg Revenue Stamps

Very little has been written about Luxembourg revenue stamps or stamped paper, and even less about Luxembourg communal revenue stamps. The basic reference remains John Barefoot's BENELUX REVENUES, now in its second edition. This blog builds on and adds to the existing literature, and attempts to inspire others to share information about Luxembourg revenue philately. Newly discovered – Double surcharge on the 1920 1-Franc Timbre de Dimension

Here is a previously unreported double surcharge on the 50-centime documentary tax issued c1920 (Barefoot No. 5). It appeared recently on eBay. This is also the stamp on which the 1 Frang error appears. See this blog post.
