This 1.25Fr imprinted dimension revenue stamp appears on a legal contract dated 19 June 1860 from Weiswampach, written of course in the old German cursive script (Kurrentschrift). The four-page document (written on front and back of each page, so actually 8 pages) details the terms for a public auction of various real estate properties situated in and around Wilwerdange owned by Nicolas and Margaretha Molitor. The notary who conducted the auction was Nicolaus Delvaux.
I used to employ a translator who specialized in the old German scripts. Because of the expense, her work mostly focused on my classic postal stationery, leaving my collection of these old revenue-imprinted documents neglected but not forgotten.
